RAGESHREE PALLAVI

September 30, 2023, 12 pm to 6 pm

October 1, 2023, 10 am to 5 pm

A pallavi is an example of nritta or pure dance set to a musical raga. Pallavi literally means blossoming. It starts with slow, graceful and lyrical movements of the eyes, neck, torso, feet, and then slowly builds in a crescendo to climax in a fast tempo at the end. This pallavi was choreographed by Guru Shree Gangadhar Pradhan, under whom Guru Swain trained.
